The association has its own logo that is copyrighted in accordance with the law.
 

 

PRINCIPLE & PURPOSE

 

Vietnam association of natural products sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Association) is a voluntary socio-professional organization of citizens and organizations that have been engaging in scientific research, teaching, technology development, engineering, education and training, production, business and management in the field of natural products sciences in the territory of Vietnam. The Association aims to gather and unite members, protect the legitimate rights and interests of members, support each other to operate effectively, contribute to the country’s socio-economic development and international integration.

Through professional activities, the Association aims to improve the quality of research, implementation, and training, contributing to the development of natural products sciences of Vietnam.
 
Legal status, headquarter

1. The Association has its own legal status, seal and account; operates in accordance with Vietnamese law and the Association’s Charter approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

3. The Associations may establish representative offices in a different provinces and cities in accordance with law.
 

Scope, field of activity
 

1. The Association operates on a national scale.

2. The Association operates in the scientific field of products derived from natural bioactive coumpounds.

3. The Association is under the state management of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Technology and other state management agencies related to the field of operation of the Association according to the provisions of law.
 

Principles of organization and operation

1. Voluntary, self-management.

2. Democracy, equality, openness and transparency.

3. Self-financed operating expenses.

4. Not for profit.

5. Comply with the Constitution, laws and the Association’s Charter.
 

JURISDICTION AND DUTIES

Jurisdiction

 

1. Organizing and operating in accordance with the Association’s Charter approved by the Minister of Home Affairs and other relevant laws.

2. Propagating the principles and purposes of the Association, mobilizing organizations and individuals operating in the field of natural products sciences.

3. Representing members in internal and external relations related to the functions and tasks of the Association. Protecting the legitimate rights and interests of members in accordance with the Association’s principles and purposes and the provisions of law.

4. Disseminating and training knowledge in the field of natural products sciences for members and the community; providing necessary information to members as prescribed by law.

5. At the request of state agencies, scientific, production and business organizations: participating in research projects and programs, consulting, verificating, social assessment and criticism; appraising, evaluating and recognizing the quality of products of natural origin; providing services in the field of natural products sciences.

6. To give opinions on legal documents related to the activities of the Association in accordance with the law. To make recommendations to competent state agencies on issues related to the development of the Association and the operation fields of the Association.

7. To publish magazines, journals and other publications in accordance with the law. To invite relevant agencies and organizations to participate in the implementation of the tasks of the Association. Coordinating and associating with training institutions, research institutions, domestic and foreign laboratories in training, research, implementation, evaluation, recognition and development of products of natural origin. Establishing a legal entity under the Association according to the provisions of law. Organizing service activities in the field of natural products sciences.

8. To raise funds for the Association on the basis of membership fees and revenues from business and service activities, and to receive legal sponsorships from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals in accordance with law. To receive financial support from the State for activities associated with the tasks assigned by the State.

9. To join the respective international organizations and sign and implement international agreements according to the provisions of law and report to the state management agencies on the branches and fields the Association operates, and the authority that allows the establishment of the Association on joining the respective international organizations, signing and implementing international agreements.
 

Duties
 

1. Gathering and uniting members; organizing and coordinating activities among members for the common interests of the Association; strictly implementing the principles and purposes of the Association in order to participate in the development of the field of natural products sciences, contributing to the construction and development of the country.

2. Participating in dissemination, coordination and support in training human resources of science and technology in the field of natural products sciences. Guiding members to comply with the Association’s regulations and the State’s policies.

3. Representing members to participate in and make recommendations to competent authorities on guidelines and policies related to the Association’s field of operation in accordance with law.

4. Organizing national and international conferences and seminars in accordance with the law in the field natural products sciences. Assisting members in research orientation, linking research with training and application, implementation, and quality improvement of natural products.

5. Acting as a focal agency and creating conditions for members to meet, exchange information and cooperate with organizations operating in the field of science of natural products in accordance with Vietnamese law and international practices.

6. Commending members with outstanding achievements in research, publication and implementation of scientific and technological works on natural products domestically and internationally; encouraging participation, investment and application of science and technology in serving for production and life.

7. Managing and using the Association’s funding sources in accordance with the provisions of law.

8. Performing other tasks when required by competent authorities.
 

Obligation
 

1. Complying with the provisions of the law related to the organization and operation of the Association. Organizing and operating in accordance with to the approved Association Charter. Not to take advantage of the Association’s activities to harm national security, social order, morality, fine customs and traditions of the nation, and legitimate rights and interests of individuals and organizations.

2. Developing and promulgating ethical rules in the Association’s activities. Mediating disputes, settling complaints and denunciations within the Association in accordance with law.

3. Complying with the guidance, examination and inspection of competent state agencies in accordance with law.

4. Creating and keeping at the Association’s headquarters the list of members, branches, representative offices and units under the Association; books and documents on assets and finances of the Association and its representative offices, branches; minutes of meetings of the Executive Board, Standing Board and Inspection Committee of the Association.
